Hemma is a Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with over 10 years experience working with children aged 0-19 years.
Hemma is from the UK where she graduated and worked for 7 years before moving to Singapore. She has experience in working with children with a range of needs including language delays and disorders, speech delays and disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorders in private clinics, mainstream schools and special education needs schools.
She believes in working in a collaborate and holistic manner with parents, schools and other professionals in order to provide the best support possible to ensure speech and language skills are generalised. She incorporates a child’s motivations within therapy sessions to engage and target speech and language skills.
Hemma is passionate about training and has been trained in Hanen - More Than Words, PECS, Intensive Interaction and Makaton - Foundation Certificate. Hemma is also Elklan trained and is able to provide accredited training to education settings and parents on implementing speech and language strategies in the classroom and at home.
