Ms. Lynn Chew

Lynn is a fully registered Speech Therapist under the Allied Health Professions Council in Singapore. She had more than 10 years of experience working as a primary school teacher before making a career switch to Speech Therapy. Lynn is familiar with the demands of the mainstream curriculum and strives to improve her clients’ learning by adopting various approaches.

Lynn began her speech therapy career at an Early Intervention Centre (EIPIC). She has provided Speech Therapy to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Global Development Delay, Down Syndrome, Language Disorder, Speech and Language Delays, Speech Sound Disorders and children with feeding difficulties.

Lynn’s clinical interest lies the in use of Multi Modal communication, social communication and language development. She works with children up to 12 years old and, provides therapy in both English and Mandarin.

Lynn uses the following modalities in therapy:

  • PECS (Picture Communication Exchange System)
  • PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets)
  • SOS Approach to Feeding
  • “It Takes Two To Talk’- Hanen Program

Lynn believes in working closely with parents to achieve their children’s highest potential. She is creative in using a combination of approaches to engage children and strongly believes that young children learn best through play. Therefore, Lynn tailors her sessions to be fun and engaging where good rapport with the therapist can enhance a child’s development.
