Intensive Intervention Program

Bridge, Connect & Integrate (BCI) Program

Building Bridges and Connecting Worlds.

"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much."

Helen Keller

At Psych Connect, we recognise that an individual’s areas of differences seldom stem from a solitary processes but rather, arise from unique combinations of developmental and cognitive processes that are interconnected and multifaceted and should be treated holistically. Hence, we believe in working as a multidisciplinary team around the client.

The BCI Program is a service that is provided as part of our TAC (Team around the Child) approach. It involves connecting with the family members of our client on a regular basis to provide targetted educational and therapeutic support and feedback. The purpose is to provide a more coordinated, thorough, and consistent approach to foster measurable and sustained therapeutic progress. TAC also prevents the fragmentation that families often experience when working with multiple therapists who keep their therapeutic goals separate from each other.

The common goal for our team of therapists with varied expertise (e.g. psychologists, counsellors, occupational therapists, educational therapists, art psychotherapists and speech therapists) is to actively collaborate and synergize through an integrated treatment plan that incorporates all intervention goals across the therapies.

Who is the BCI Program for, and how does it work?

We provide bridging support for clients with high therapeutic needs, and who are currently receiving a specified combination of interventions at our clinic. A case manager will be assigned to this client and will assist to coordinate and facilitate regular sessions between the client’s family and the clinicians involved in the treatment plan.

These multidisciplinary sessions will be scheduled on a regular basis. The family and all clinicians involved will meet and feedback will be given in a holistic manner.

The case manager will also be the point of contact for the family should they require any additional support during the treatment. This includes scheduling of appointments, feedback sessions, liaising with schools for matters related to the client’s treatment etc.
