International Psychological & Multidisciplinary Assessments

Psych Connect provides international psychological assessments and multidisciplinary child assessments for families and international school communities seeking private, internationally recognised evaluation services. Our assessments are designed to meet the needs of international schools, SENCOs, and expatriate families, and may be conducted in-home or within the child’s school, depending on clinical suitability.

Based in Singapore, Psych Connect delivers international in-home and school-based assessments across Asia and the Middle East. We have worked with families and schools in Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, India, and Dubai, supporting students across diverse international education systems.

Who this service is for

This service is suited to:

  • International and expatriate families seeking private psychological assessment services

  • Families relocating across countries or education systems

  • Students enrolled in international schools requiring educational psychology assessment

  • Schools and SENCOs seeking multidisciplinary SEN assessments

  • Children for whom clinic-based assessment may be impractical or clinically inappropriate

Disciplines offered

Our multidisciplinary assessment services may include one or more of the following, based on clinical need:

  • Psychological Assessment (cognitive, academic, emotional, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental assessment)

  • Occupational Therapy Assessment (including sensory processing, motor coordination, and functional skills)

  • Speech and Language Assessment

All assessments utilize internationally validated, gold-standard assessment tools and follow Psych Connect’s established clinical and ethical frameworks.

Our assessment process

1) Initial Clinical Consultation

All international assessments begin with a comprehensive online consultation with Dr. Sanveen Kang, Lead Clinical Psychologist, who provides clinical leadership and oversight throughout the assessment process. This consultation clarifies referral questions, developmental history, school context, and assessment needs.

2) Bespoke Assessment Design

Following the consultation, an individualised assessment battery is developed by Dr. Kang. Disciplines and tools are selected based on clinical relevance, international applicability, and school requirements, ensuring meaningful and valid outcomes.

3) In-Home or School-Based Assessment

Our clinicians travel internationally to conduct in-home psychological assessments or school-based assessments, in collaboration with families and, where appropriate, school teams. Sessions are structured to support engagement, ecological validity, and child wellbeing.

4) Integrated Clinical Formulation and Reporting

Assessment data are scored, interpreted, and integrated under clinical oversight. A comprehensive written report is provided, suitable for parents, international schools, SENCOs, and allied professionals, and designed to translate across educational and healthcare systems.

5) Feedback and Consultation

Feedback is provided by Dr. Kang and her team to parents and, where appropriate, to schools or professionals. Written reports are shared following feedback and may be used to inform educational planning, accommodations, and intervention recommendations.

Clinical standards and oversight

All international psychological and multidisciplinary assessments are conducted under the clinical oversight of Dr. Sanveen Kang, ensuring:

  • Ethical and developmentally appropriate assessment

  • Integration across psychology, occupational therapy, and speech-language disciplines

  • Clear diagnostic formulation, where appropriate

  • Reports recognised and understood across international school systems

Clinical standards remain equivalent to Psych Connect’s clinic-based assessments.
