Benjamin Low

Ben is a Clinical Psychologist, Registered Psychologist (Singapore), and a Full Member of the Singapore Psychological Society. His professional training is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council and he is an alumnus of the University of Melbourne, the University of Queensland, and James Cook University.

Ben has treated clients in corporate, hospital, university, and social service settings for a wide variety of challenges. Having lived in three different multicultural cities, he works well with both locals and expatriates in achieving more meaningful lives beyond the mere reduction of suffering. Ben gladly works together with clients’ broader care teams (e.g. Doctors and surgeons, physiotherapists, school professionals) to secure the best possible outcomes.

Ben’s therapies include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Behavioural Activation, Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). Therapy can work effectively over videoconferencing or in-person sessions depending on the nature of your difficulties.

Outside the clinic, Ben has run educational programmes for employees, doctors, and university students. He has been commended for his service to various portfolios under the Singapore Psychological Society.

Ben is also interested in research and received competitive awards for his honours thesis. His subsequent work has appeared in the Australian Journal of Rehabilitation Counselling, Society for Neuroscience, Singapore Health and Biomedical Congress, and the 50th Annual Conference of the Australian Psychological Society, among others. He remains involved in research as a Visiting Clinical Psychologist at the Institute of Mental Health.

Despite these, Ben is most passionate about helping people to live fulfilling lives, both at the individual and corporate level.
