Claire Haberer

Psychotherapist & Art Psychotherapist

Claire Haberer

Claire is an Art Psychotherapist trained in both the UK and Singapore and has professional registration to the Australian New Zealand, and Asian Creative Art Therapies Association (ANZACATA). Passionate about using the arts for self-expression, gaining insight and promoting healing, Claire practices within a psychodynamic orientation and integrates approaches from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), as well as Attachment theory and the Expressive Arts. She works collaboratively with clients to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.

Certified as a facilitator for the Circle of Security Parenting program, Claire is skilled in helping caregivers enhance their understanding of their child’s emotional needs, respond effectively and strengthen their relationships.

Claire’s commitment to helping others is evident through her experience, including several years as a volunteer counsellor in the UK, supporting young people in crisis. In Singapore, she has worked with a diverse population including locals in the care system and expatriates. She has experience providing individual and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults coping with:

  • Neurodivergence (e.g. ASD, ADHD)
  • Emotional regulation
  • Relationship diƯiculties
  • Perfectionism
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Developmental trauma

Originally from the UK, Claire has lived and worked in Japan and Thailand. Her previous career in finance within a corporate environment has given her insight into the stress, burnout, and worklife balance challenges faced by professionals. As a mother who has transitioned between countries, Claire is empathetic to the complexities of raising children in a multi-cultural context and is well equipped to support families in similar situations. She strongly believes in ‘good enough’ parenting.

Outside of her professional life, Claire has an adventurous spirit and enjoys exploring Southeast Asia, particularly through scuba diving.
