Dr. Dylan Horcher is a respected and thoughtful psychologist, whose training and expertise span across the life span and across various mental health and well-being needs. Dr. Horcher has been a member of the psychology community for nearly a decade, and brings a rich knowledge base and compassionate approach to mental health care. Dr. Horcher has served in a plethora of roles as a psychologist, including as a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor for psychology trainees, and as an adjunct instructor.
Dr. Horcher brings a humanistic perspective to the therapy space, which emphasizes personal discovery to help foster client’s sense of self-worth and autonomy over their lives to better achieve their goals. His style is to work collaboratively with clients in an open and non-judgmental space, where they can feel heard and understood by another. Dr. Horcher believes that creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment and relationship is the basis for clients to develop a rich understanding and acceptance of themselves, which enables them to live their lives with authenticity, satisfaction and meaning.
Dr. Horcher draws primarily from psychodynamic theory and incorporates techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy where appropriate. He incorporates mindfulness and other skills-based approaches to best meet his clients’ unique needs. Dr. Horcher comes to each case with warmth, empathy, cultural humility and curiosity to understand the unique lived experience of each person he works with.

Dr. Horcher also has extensive training and experience in conducting diagnostic psychological, neuropsychological and educational assessments across the lifespan, ranging from early childhood to late adulthood. He is formally trained in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of the Rorschach Inkblot Method using the Exner Comprehensive System, and has experience integrating projective testing into comprehensive psychological assessments.
Dr. Horcher received his doctoral degree in School-Clinical Psychology from Pace University, USA where he trained in a combination of school-based, community mental health, college counseling and clinical sites. Dr. Horcher completed his pre-doctoral internship at North Central Bronx Hospital, USA working with clients from varied backgrounds in both inpatient and outpatient therapy settings. In addition, Dr. Horcher has extensive experience providing psychological testing to child, adolescent and adult clients.
