Dr. Sanveen Kang

Director & Lead Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Sanveen Kang

Dr. Sanveen Kang is a highly respected clinical psychologist and the Founder and Lead Clinical Psychologist of Psych Connect Singapore. With more than 18 years of experience across clinical, supervisory, academic, and leadership roles, she is known for her deep commitment to delivering holistic, compassionate, and evidence-informed mental health care. Sanveen has supported individuals, families, corporations, educational institutions, government agencies, and social service organisations, offering thoughtful and comprehensive psychological services anchored in warmth, clarity, and expertise.

Sanveen’s practice is grounded in a multidisciplinary understanding of the human experience. She is not a one-size-fits-all therapist; instead, she views each individual through a rich biopsychosocial and somatic lens. Her work integrates psychological, relational, developmental, sensory, environmental, and body-based perspectives to design interventions that honour the complexity of each person’s story. This depth allows her to support clients who may not have progressed in traditional therapy, particularly those with treatment-resistant or multi-layered presentations.

Her special interests include the mind–body connection, women’s mental health, and creating therapeutic experiences beyond conventional clinic rooms. She has extensive expertise working with women navigating perimenopause, menopause, pelvic congestion syndrome (PCS), chronic pain, hormonal transitions, and mental health difficulties associated with conditions such as IBS, fibromyalgia, chronic illness, and POTS. She is deeply attuned to the inseparable link between physical and emotional health, integrating autonomic nervous system science, sensory regulation, and somatic practices into psychotherapy.

Sanveen is also known for expanding the boundaries of therapeutic care through mental wellness checks and mental health retreats, which blend clinical insight with restorative, experiential approaches that promote groundedness, regulation, and self-understanding.

A significant part of her expertise lies in psychological and neuropsychological assessment across the lifespan. She is highly skilled in diagnosing autism, ADHD, learning disorders (dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), social communication disorder, dyspraxia/DCD, and complex developmental, emotional, or behavioural presentations. She is also experienced in medico-legal assessments and child custody evaluations, bringing rigour, clarity, and clinical depth to high-stakes contexts.

Her therapeutic approach draws from a wide range of modalities, including CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, Schema Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, EMDR (Weekend 1 & 2), Sand Tray Therapy, SMART, and Yoga-Based Psychotherapy for Trauma. This integrative toolbox allows her to tailor therapy according to each individual’s needs, pace, and capacity, ensuring work that is both transformative and grounded.

Alongside her clinical work, Sanveen is a sought-after speaker, trainer, and consultant. She delivers workshops for schools, corporates, and mental health professionals on trauma, neurodevelopment, women’s mental health, somatic approaches, and holistic intervention planning. Her presentations are known for their clarity, clinical depth, and ability to translate complex concepts into meaningful, practical insights.

At the core of her practice is the belief that every individual has inherent strengths and the capacity for healing. Her vision for Psych Connect is to provide a safe, culturally attuned, multidisciplinary environment where individuals and families can grow, reconnect, and thrive.
