Chryso Campbell-Platt

Counsellor

Chryso Campbell-Platt

Chryso believes, above all, that meaningful change begins with a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy and genuine human connection. She offers a calm, thoughtful and non-judgemental space where clients feel safe to make sense of their experiences, discover new perspectives, imagine possible alternatives, deepen self-understanding and develop greater resilience to navigate life's challenges.

Chryso’s therapeutic approach is naturally calm, warm and empathetic. She works alongside clients to help them reconnect with their unique resources, function more effectively, fulfil their goals and expand their capacity for contentment. Chryso tailors therapy to each individual’s strengths, values and goals, creating an approach that is both practical and deeply personal while integrating evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

Through her experience as part of the counselling team of an international school in Singapore, Chryso has developed a particular passion for helping adolescents navigate emotional, social and developmental challenges, including school-related anxiety and school avoidance, identity development, examination stress, friendship difficulties, safety concerns and familial conflict. Working within a diverse international school community has given her insight into the unique third culture experiences of expatriate families and she values collaborating with parents, caregivers and schools, recognising that a young person's wellbeing is often strengthened through a supportive network.

Before retraining as a counsellor, Chryso had a career as a corporate lawyer in international finance, working within fast-paced, high-performing and culturally diverse environments. She has a deep understanding of the pressures associated with demanding careers, including chronic stress, perfectionism, burnout, career transitions, self-criticism and balancing professional success with personal wellbeing. She is passionate about supporting professionals to develop healthier, more sustainable ways of managing these challenges.

Alongside her counselling work, Chryso is committed to giving back to the community and spends much of her free time volunteering in community mental health settings and social service organisations. Originally from the United Kingdom and now living in Singapore with her ethnically diverse family, including tween and teenage daughters, she understands many of the opportunities and challenges that accompany international relocation, third culture life and balancing family, career and personal wellbeing.
