Beatrice is an Occupational Therapist with clinical experience in both paediatric and geriatric rehabilitation across outpatient, inpatient, and community hospital settings. During her clinical training and subsequent practice, she gained experience across paediatric, physical rehabilitation, mental health, and community settings, supporting individuals and their families throughout different stages of life.
After graduating from National Taiwan University with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy and a minor in Philosophy, Beatrice has remained committed to working with children. She has experience working with children with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities, and other developmental needs. Her experience includes working with children aged 1– 12 through both individual sessions and targeted group programmes, supporting areas such as developmental skills, motor skills, attention, impulse control, play, self-care, and social participation.
In Singapore, Beatrice has experience providing occupational therapy to patients with subacute medical and neurological conditions, including stroke, dementia, musculoskeletal conditions, and other complex medical needs in community hospital settings. She takes a holistic approach to care, considering each patient’s needs, family circumstances, and journey beyond the clinical setting. She values building trust with patients and families and communicating with empathy to better understand their concerns and support their goals.
Beatrice is passionate about helping children maximise their potential and work towards shared goals with their families and therapists. She emphasises a child-centred and family-centred approach, with a focus on holistic development and fostering children’s self-esteem and confidence. Using strengths-based and play-centred approaches, she tailors intervention to each child’s individual needs, interests, and goals, with the hope that every child can discover their strengths and sparkle in their own way.
Beatrice is committed to continuous learning and developing her clinical knowledge. She has attended courses related to Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) for children with developmental delays, neuropsychology, and behavioural communication. She has also been involved in multiple research projects during her education, further developing her ability to apply evidence-informed occupational therapy practice.
Outside of work, Beatrice enjoys bouldering, swimming, and reading.
